Internal audit today – moving towards a consultative approach (Session 1 of 2) Dealing with the Audit Committee (Session 2 of 2)

The first session (Internal audit today – moving towards a consultative approach) will provide an overview of the Internal Audit methodology and how it evolved as a result of business challenges that organisations faced over the years. It aims to present to participants the transition in Internal Audit methodology from the traditional compliance approach to a more consulting role adopted in today's business world.

The second session (Dealing with the Audit Committee) provides participants with an overview of the responsibilities of the audit committee and of the relationship and interaction between the Committee and Internal Auditors throughout the lifecycle of the Internal Audit function. Participants will gain an understanding of the role of the Audit Committee, how its responsibilities are discharged through the internal auditor/s and how members within an Internal Audit department communicate with the Audit Committee at key milestones.
